A Series of combined motor and variable speed drive products.

CM1: 1UA5 COMBIMASTER

02/94 to 08/95

Launched April 1995.

CM1 range consisted of two case sizes
CSA: 1.5, 2.2 & 3kW; CSB: 4, 5.5 & 7.5kW
all 400V, 3 phase with built-in Class A EMC filters.

Speed adjustment via a potentiometer behind a cover blanking gland.
A second cover blanking gland hides a RS485 interface, where a hand-held unit
could be used to set drive parameters for more complex applications.
Replaced by the CM2 in 1997.

08/95 to 08/98

Launched August 1997.

CSA 230V: 0.12, 0.25, 0.37, 0.55 & 0.75kW
All available as 1 or 3 phase units

CSA 400V: 0.37, 0.55, 0.75, 1.1 & 1.5kW
CSB 400V: 1.5, 2.2, 3, 4, 5.5 & 7.5kW
All 3phase units

Options: Built-in Class A or Class B EMC filter, EM Motor Brake interface,
Active Resistor Brake for CSB units & Profibus interface

MMI: 6SE96 MicroMaster Integrated

MMIFor the first time, the inverter was designed to mate with any manufacturer's motors, a move aimed at market leadership and the highest sales volumes.

So the "MicroMaster Integrated" was conceived.
IEN Award
The European trade journal Industrial Engineering News awarded COMBIMASTER 2 the
"New Product Award 1999" for its innovative technology and high customer interest.

CM411: 6SE64 CombiMaster 411

08/98 to 2000+

Combined with a range of Siemens motors or stand-alone as MM411.
Three case sizes 380V to 480V, 0.37kW to 3.0kW, 3 phase AC

Options:
Built-in Class A or Class B EMC filter
Resistor & EM Brake Control
Profibus or DeviceNet Interface
ECOFAST Connector Module

IP55 (CM411) & IP56 (MM411) Protection
-10ºC to +40ºC Operating Temperature
+50ºC with power derating

Scheduled for launch at Hanover Fair, April 2001, COMBIMASTER 411 was
very close to completion as I left Siemens in November 2000.
