Like many relatively new topics, programme management is surrounded by some confusion and curiosity. To provide clarification and routes to further knowledge, the APM has produced this introductory booklet.

Whilst recognising that the terms programme management and programme have differing meanings and connotations across the commercial and public sectors, both in the UK and elsewhere, this introduction provides a view that is supported by the APM and aims to establish a standard for members and supporters of the organisation.
