This document describes the methodological grounding for the development of the European e-Competence Framework (e-CF).

It benefits from the contributions of the CEN e-CF expert team members, three times nominated in the period 2007 – 2013: Jutta Breyer (e-CF v 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 project and team leading), Wilfried Berlin, Terry Hook, Frédéric Lau, Clementina Marinoni, Fabio Massimo, Irmhild Rogalla, Riccardo Scquizzato, Joyce van Berlo, and lastly but not leastly from the constructive feedback received from the CEN ICT Skills workshop community in all project periods.
